Paul DeWees Obituary

Paul E. DeWees, age 82, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at his home.

He was born on October 10, 1943 in Washington CH to the late William and Roberta DeWees.

Family and friends will remember Paul for his sense of humor, and his love of painting gourd birdhouses and giving them to everyone to enjoy.

He was employed at Jeffery Manufacturing and Ferguson Steel where he retired after thirty plus years as a welder.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Graves) DeWees; children, Darrin (Jennifer) DeWees of Washington CH, Melissa (David) Peters of Mount Sterling, and Barry (Stephanie) DeWees of The Villages, Florida; stepsons, Joey Graves and fiancé Brooke Shanton of Greenfield, and Chris (Stacy) Watterman of Columbus; sister, Lois Milliken of Oceanside, CA; grandchildren, Ryan (Randi) DeWees, Tyler (Chelsea) DeWees, Kelsie (Alex) Murphy, and McKenzie (Josh) Strohl; and great-grandchildren, Garrett, Kyleigh, Bella, Lilly, Harvey, Trent, Carson, Rilee, JoJo, Noah, and future baby Murphy.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings, Joanne Powell, David DeWees, and Billie DeWees; and his first wife and mother of his children, Kathie S. DeWees.

In keeping with his wishes, Paul donated his body to Wright State University for the advancement of science.
