Paul Dobrowsky Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Funeral Home - Fanwood on Sep. 7, 2022.
Paul D. Dobrowsky Sr., 59, passed away suddenly on September 5th, 2022, in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York he moved to New Jersey over 30 years ago.
Paul loved being a dad to his 3 sons. He treasured the time he spent with them. Endless hours digging in the sand, riding the waves on boogie boards, camping under the stars at Sabattis Adventure Camp or, in later years, enjoying a beer together. Paul was a lover of dogs especially his dog Max of 15 years.
Paul enjoyed dancing, backyard gatherings with friends and family, monthly poker nights with the guys, collecting cars and most of all sharing great stories. He also enjoyed traveling and never tired of the view during his annual drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. Paul's true love was the sun and the ocean of Long Beach Island where he and his wife vacationed with their sons for 20 years before buying a second home in Surf City in 2015.
Paul is survived by his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth Donnelly, along with his sons Paul Jr, Matthew (Justine) and Brian. Brothers Steve (Kathy) and Gene (Marie) and sister Mary, 11 nieces and nephews, 19 grand nieces and nephews. Preceded by his parents Michael and Helen.
A memorial gathering will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood on Friday, September 9th, from 3pm to 9pm with a service starting at 8pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Paul's name in honor of his mother to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
