Kinder-A Mass of Christian Burial for Paul Joseph Fontenot, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow at Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 9 a.m. until time of service. The Holy Rosary will also be prayed at 9 a.m.
Paul was a loving husband to his wife, Carole, for sixty-three years, as well as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a graduate of Fenton High School, class of 1958. Paul worked hard for Louisiana DOTD to provide for his family until his well-deserved retirement. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed raising cows. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Paul's memory include his wife, Carole Savant Fontenot; two sons, Al Fontenot and Don (Montez) Fontenot, both of Kinder; two daughters, Karan F. Richard of Jennings and Mindy (Ron) Gilbert of Grand Lake; six grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Albert John and Gladys Fontenot; sister, Gracie Shultz Miller; and granddaughter, Catherine Claire Richard.
The family would like to thank Brighton Bridge Hospice, Theresa Langley, Paul's granddaughter, Reney Fontenot and Dr. Matt Courville for their care in Paul's final days.
