Paul Brent Frazier

Paul Brent Frazier of Cato, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

Paul was born on November 15, 1962 in Jackson, Mississippi to Bobby Kay and Doris Ann Frazier. He grew up roaming the hills of Cato with his four siblings, where they loved to hunt, fish, camp, and attended church at Cato Baptist as a family. He graduated from Puckett Attendance Center in 1980 as the salutatorian where he also played on the football team.

After graduation Paul joined the Mississippi Air National Guard where he proudly served his country and community as a vehicle maintainer and operator for 37 years. He earned many awards and decorations throughout Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also served his community as a letter carrier with the United States Post Office for 35 years.

In 1984, he met the love of his life Debbie Andrews Frazier. They both attended Walker Hill Baptist church and were in the youth group together. They later married on October 26, 1985. The two raised their three children just down the hill from Paul’s childhood home. Paul loved God with all aspects of himself and lived as a prime example of a faithful servant for Christ Jesus and a self sacrificing son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and Pawpaw. He was many things to many people; a gifted mechanic, proficient builder, caring Boy Scout leader, loyal friend, hobbyist beekeeper, steadfast deacon, and a member of the church choir and brotherhood. If someone in his family, church, or community needed something, Paul was always there.

Upon retirement Paul traveled extensively with the Mississippi Nail Benders, an organization who helps build churches stateside and assist churches in additional structures. The Nail Benders’ purpose, along with its family, was a passion and love of Paul’s throughout his adulthood, but especially in his retired years.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Bobby Frazier, mother Doris Frazier, and grandson Gabriel Warren. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Debbie Andrews Frazier, his children Jennifer Frazier Warren (Shelby), Jonathan Frazier (Bethany), and Sarah Frazier Barlow (Wendell) and his beloved grandchildren Dalton Jones, Taylor Warren, Axel Barlow, Ainsley Warren, Jon Tucker Frazier, Maybre Barlow, Walker Frazier, and Lainey Warren. He is also survived by his four siblings Dale Frazier (Gloria), Cynthia Thomas Boone (Steve), Brian Frazier (Karon), and Sharon Frazier Hannah (Danny).

A funeral service honoring Paul will be held at Cato Baptist Church on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at 10am. Visitation for Paul will be held at Ott and Lee in Brandon on Monday January 27, 2025 from 4-8pm. His final resting place will be in Ross Cemetery next to his father, mother, and in-laws.
