Paul "Lay Lay" Glover, Jr
September 19, 1951 - October 17, 2024
Lafayette: Paul "Lay Lay" Glover, Jr., died on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his home in Lafayette, LA. He was 73 years of age.
He was born on September 19, 1951 in Lafayette, LA., to Paul Glover, Sr. and Camellia Glover. He attended North side High School and also technical college. He worked for over 40 years as a HVAC technician for various companies, M&T for 10 years, Sugar & Spice, and Cypress Trails. Paul had a passion for music. He started as a DJ spinning records in his late teens. Paul eventually became a musician playing as lead guitar player in bands such as The Melting Pot. He also loved playing golf, riding his bake, and being outside in his yard.
Paul is survived by his wife; Mary Lou Glover, his daughter; Florence Ann Glover, his son; Terry Louis Glover, one step grandchild; Jakaylon Alexander, two brothers; Joseph Glover (Denise Hunter) and Abraham Woods, both of Lafayette, LA., two sisters; Agnes Charles (Rudolph) of Scott, LA., and Camellia Madison of Lafayette, LA., along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Paul and Camellia Glover, and his two brothers; Leroy Harry Glover and Clinton Michael.
Kinchen Funeral Home Inc., 1011 North Saint Antoine Street, Lafayette LA 70501 is in charge of arrangements. Additionally, condolences to the family can be expressed on our website at www.kinchenfuneralhome.com.
Celebration of Life for Paul Glover, Jr., will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Kinchen Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 10am, followed by the service at 12pm. Interment will take place in St. John Cemetery.
