Paul Goodness passed on June 8, 2023, In Fair Oaks, CA. He will be buried next to his wife, Peggy Sue,who passed in 2016.Paul was born in Worcester, MA, in 1931 and grew up in the suburbs of Boston in Waltham and Orange. An accomplished marksman with the rifle during high school, Paul found himself enlisting into the National Guard. Soon thereafter, Paul enlisted into the Marines and served his country during the Korean War. Paul was commissioned to the rank of 2nd Lt. and worked in Motor Transportation. After the war, Paul moved to St Louis to finish his schooling and this is where he met his wife. Paul and Peggy were married for 60 years, had 3 children, Rachelle (California), Paul Jr (Louisiana),and David (Colorado). Paul leaves 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Paul had worked at McDonnell-Douglas in St Louis, Beech-Aircraft in Boulder, Honeywell in Littleton, and eventually settled into his desired vocation as a History Teacher at Northglenn High school, where American West was his favorite course to teach. Paul's fondest memories at Northglenn HS was taking students on a tearly field trip to The Fort restaurant in Morrison, CO, and leading his school to the State Chess Championships. Paul retired from schooling in 1997 and settled into Loveland, CO. After the passing of his wife, Paul moved to the Sacramento, CA, area to be close with his daughter. Paul was a master at chess, a competitive Bridge player, liked hiking the many mountains in Colorado, and was an avid reader. He enjoyed playing board and card games with friends and family, especially cribbage, and he was devoted to his Roman Catholic faith.
