Terry Dale Shepperd of Brush, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025. Terry was born in Ainsworth, Nebraska, on May 31, 1957. He was the oldest of five kids born to Don and Lenore Shepperd of Springview, Nebraska. Terry spent most of his youth in Colorado. He graduated from Northglenn High School in Northglenn, CO in May of 1975. He worked some construction in high school and for about 12 years with his dad in Colorado and Texas. The construction skills he learned lasted his life time. At the urging of a close friend he made a career move and went to 18 months of trade school at Colorado Aerotech in Broomfied, CO to become an Aviation Maintenance Technichian in Airfame and Powerplant. He graduated in1989 and was offered a positon with United Airlines. He started in Oakland, CA, then to Indianapolis, IN, then back to CA to San Francisco, and finally home to Denver (DIA) in 2016. He retired from United with 33 years of dedicated service in 2022. Flight benefits allowed him to take several dream vacations for fishing in Alaska, Lake Mead, Lake Cumberland, and Galveston, and he attended the pro-bowl in Hawaii. He made life long friends at UAL. Terry enjoyed horseshoes, playing cards, fishing, painting with Bob Ross, Football Sundays - Go Broncos!, and playing Golf which became his passion. He loved spending time in his shop working on projects, listening to music, and watching videos on his laptop. He loved hanging out with his kids, grandkids, friends and family. He was overjoyed to be called Grandpa and spent as much time as he could with his two grandsons and granddaughter swimming in the backyard pool, watching the boys baseball games when he was able, going to Dave and Busters with them, and sometimes catching a football game with them. Terry was a social animal and loved telling stories and sharing his sense of humor. His laugh was infectious and came from his heart and soul. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandpa, son, and so much more. He will be sorely missed, but will live in our hearts and minds forever. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vickie Shepperd of Brush, CO; three sons, Joshua Shepperd of San Francisco, CA, Paul Shepperd of Brush, CO, and Cody Shepperd of Brush, CO; three grandchildren, Mason Shepperd, Liam Shepperd, and Aspen Shepperd, all of San Francisco, CA; his mother, Lenore Shepperd of Springview/Valentine, NE; two siblings, Donald C. (Cathy) Shepperd of Montrose, CO, and Toni (Steve) Arends of Johnstown, CO; sister-in-law, Maura Shepperd of Austin, TX; aunts and uncles, Shirley and Jerry Earnest of Brighton, CO, Sharon and Bill Orton of Springview, NE, and Doris and Ted Eichenberger of Springview, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Don Shepperd of Springview, NE; his youngest sister, Joni Tiller of Springview, NE; and his youngest brother, Randy Shepperd of Austin, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron St, Brush, CO.
