Paul F. "Fritz" Gorman, 80, of Farnum Pike, Smithfield, died Monday, October 13, 2025 at Overlook Nursing Home in Burrillville. He was the husband of Catherine "Cate" Giard Gorman. In May, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Born in Boston, MA, he was a son of the late Paul J. and Veronica (Egan) Gorman. He had lived in Smithfield for the past eight years and had previously lived in North Smithfield.

Paul had been a Mental Health Counselor at Gateway Health Care in Pawtucket before retiring in 2015. Paul was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Greenville where he was a leader for the School for Discipleship.

Paul, also known as Fritz, was a former member of the Lions Club when he lived in Massachusetts, and played the guitar in the music ministry at Calvary Episcopal Church. He also volunteered for NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Besides his wife, Paul is also survived by his son, Jonathan Gorman of Providence.

His funeral service will be held Monday, October 20th at 11am in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Putnam Avenue, Greenville. Burial is omitted. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30am to 10:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
