He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Kevin & Stephanie Gumm and Timothy & Candus (Claiborne) Gumm. Grandchildren Dylan (Kelsey) Gumm, Megan Gumm, Elijah Gumm, and Abigail (Stephen) Glann. Great Grandchildren Payton, Charlotte, & Finnegan Gumm and Olivia Gumm. Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law Paul & Belinda Purkey. Nephew and Niece Mark (Sheila) McMahan, and Cindy (Eddie) Zayas-Bazan.
Special thanks to Professional Case Management for providing care in recent years. Extra special thanks to Tracey Holder for the care and independence she has provided Vernon through the years.
Miller Funeral Home will handle final arrangements. Interment and graveside service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday at 11:00am. Justin Phillips of Grace Connection Fellowship International (Greenback, TN) officiating.
