Paul Anthony Hernandez, a man who lived life in the fast lane, was born on March 12, 1998, in Austin, Texas. He sadly lost his last race against time on July 7, 2023, in Kyle, Texas, when a motorcycle ride took an unexpected turn.
Paul was the son of Lauro Hernandez and Lucina Cervantes, who, despite his constant pranks, still claimed him as their own. His brothers, Lauro Hernandez Jr., Nahum Hernandez, and Augustin Flores, were his partners in crime and his co-stars in countless family comedies. His daughter, Alice Hadassah Hernandez Zubiri, inherited his sense of humor and his love for life. Alice's mother, Anaiz Zubiri, was always part of his comedic routine.
Paul was a proud graduate of Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas, class of 2016. He also took dental assistant classes, where he learned to put a smile on people's faces in more ways than one. He earned his CDL, which stands for Commercial Driver License, which was useful for his job as a tow truck driver for Contento Towing in Niederwald, Texas.
When he wasn't rescuing stranded Big Rigs, he was working in the family business at Lauro's Truck Parts in Austin. He was known to be the life of the shop, always ready with a joke or a funny story to lighten the mood.
Paul loved to travel, his favorite destination being Colorado. He said it was because of the mountains, but we all know it was because of the legal marijuana. He had a passion for firearms and was a sharpshooter in more ways than one. His love for music was infectious, and he was known to break into song in the most unexpected places. He treasured spending time with his friends and daughter, who were often the victims of his practical jokes.
Funny, loving, and gentle are three words that best describe Paul. He could make anyone laugh, and his love for his family and friends was as big as his personality. He was gentle in his interactions, always making sure everyone was having a good time.
Paul Anthony Hernandez, a man who lived his life like a sitcom, left us too soon, but he will always be remembered for his laughter, his love, and his ability to make the world a funnier place. His spirit will continue to live on in every joke told, every song sung, and every road traveled.
