Paul D. Hettrick Sr.

Paul Dennis Hettrick Sr., 68, of Pottstown, PA, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at Pottstown Hospital. Born in Pottstown on October 21, 1957, Paul was the son of the late Ernest J. Hettrick and Mary S. (DiPietro) Hettrick.

Paul was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan who loved cheering on the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and had a special place in his heart for dogs. He also looked forward to a good steak dinner at Applebee's.

Above all, Paul was a dedicated family man. He took great pride in his family and worked to instill in his son the values of being a loving and devoted father. He cherished spending time outdoors with his daughter and grandchildren, especially fishing together and playing basketball.

His kindness, humor, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Paul is lovingly remembered by his children, Jeremy (Dynele Crowder) Hettrick Sr. and Tiffany (Shawn Butler) Hettrick; his cherished grandchildren, Juliana Butler, Jeremy Hettrick Jr., Tyler Hettrick, Camryn Jones, Justyce Butler, Shawn Butler Jr., and Jace Butler; and his great-grandchildren, Jaymin Hettrick and Maylani Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his son, Paul Hettrick Jr., and his sister, Barbara Hillman.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

In honor of Paul's love for Philadelphia sports, family and friends are warmly invited to wear their favorite sports apparel to the service.
