On December 7, 2025, Paul John Kaspar Sr passed away peacefully at Symphony Manor of Roland Park. Born on February 8, 1937, on Luzerne Avenue in Baltimore, Paul attended elementary school at St Wenceslas Parish School, where he served as an altar boy. Upon graduation from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute College Preparatory program in 1954, he attended Virgina Tech, where he majored in Engineering. He served in the Maryland National Guard, and was employed by Baltimore City as a civil engineer until his retirement in 1996. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, music, pets and family gatherings.

Surviving Paul are his children Elizabeth Hehir (John), Mary Katherine Goldsborough, Paul Brian Kaspar, Paul J. Kaspar Jr., and Francis J. Kaspar (Jennifer); his former wife Mary Patricia (Hickey) Kaspar Smith; his grandchildren Grace Hehir, Dylan Goldsborough, Ben Goldsborough, Ted Goldsborough, George Kaspar, Amber McKinsey, Richard Friend, and Cheyanne Friend; his nephews Steven P James (Mary), Chris M James (Mary Theresa), Charles A James, Jr, and David Kramer; his nieces Merri-Ellen James (Laura), Michele James, Susan Kramer Schaap (Stan), and Sharon Kramer Luvadnek (Jim); and family friend Kim Sellers.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank Joseph Kaspar and Helene (Melocik) Kaspar, his sister Mary Anne "Murnie" James, his sister Jane Frances Kramer Hertl, and his grandson Richard Simpson. Ironically, Paul and his sister Murnie James passed away on each other's birthdays.
