Mr. Paul Sven Kenneth Johnson, age 88 of
Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on September 7, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the loving son of the late Sven Oscar and Gladys Amelia Gahm Johnson. He was raised in Chicago and graduated in 1951 from Wausau High School in Wisconsin. He later attended community college to further his education. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Banks on April 6, 1952 in Oakland Hills, California. This happy union of nearly 69 years was blessed with five sons, Paul, Jr., Jeff, Steve, Mike, and Tom and three daughters, Debbie, Betsy, and Suzanne. The family lived in Chicago for 22 years and then the family moved around the country to Wisconsin, Florida, Nebraska, California, Nevada, and Iowa before moving to
Hanover, Indiana. While living in Chicago, he worked for 13 and a half years for Babies Valet Diaper Service. He worked in property management in Manteca, California and then as a sales manager in cemetery sales and spent 30 years in the cemetery industry. Some of his favorite places he worked was Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa and Palm Cemeteries and Mortuaries in Las Vegas. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hanover supporting his son Mike as the pastor there and serving as a deacon. Paul was a faithful man and dedicated his life in service to his Lord and Savior. Paul died on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hickory Creek of Madison in

A LOVING FAMILY
Paul will be missed by his loving sons, Paul Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Angela of
Fullerton, California, Jeff Johnson and his wife, Julie of Castle Rock, Colorado, Steve Johnson and his wife, Amy of
Ottawa, Illinois, Pastor Mike Johnson and his wife, Missy of
Hanover, Indiana, Tom Johnson and his wife, Sherri of Castle Rock, Colorado; his loving daughters, Debbie Johnson Dow of
Hanover, Indiana, Betsy Johnson of Harper, Kansas, Suzanne Johnson of
Huntington Beach, California; his grandchildren, Melanie, Jerome, Gabi, Glenn, Michelle, Kristy, Carissa (Josh), Michael, Kelly, Michael, Marilyn, Jill, Allen, Kyle, Amanda, Zachary, Cole, and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Aryana, Gabriel, Akaylah, Echo, Sason, Maybree, and Ryder; his brother in law, Harry David Brooks and his wife, Arlene of Salem, Oregon; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Sven Oscar Johnson, died December 15, 1954, his mother, Gladys Amelia Gahm Johnson, his beloved wife of nearly 69 years, Barbara Ann Banks Johnson, died March 30, 2021, his sisters, Arlene Carruth and Shirley May Williams, and his son in law, Mason Glenn Dow, died February 13, 2022.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., by Pastor Mike Johnson at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 221 West Kuntz Road in
Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Hanover Cemetery on Logan's Point Drive in
Hanover, Indiana.

VISITATION
