Paul Kiffner Obituary

Paul M. Kiffner

Born: June 29, 1946 | Died: May 24, 2025

Paul M. Kiffner, 78, of Chagrin Falls, died peacefully Friday in the presence of family.

Paul was born June 29, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene A. Kiffner.

Following a childhood relocation to his beloved Greeneville, where he attended Greeneville High School, he settled back in Detroit after completing law school.

He joined Price Waterhouse while in law school, spending his entire 32-year career with the firm, 16 years of which as the managing partner for the Cleveland office's tax practice.

He married his loving and devoted wife, the late Diane Bracken, on Nov. 4, 1977, in Detroit, thereafter, settling in Chagrin Falls, Ohio in 1980. A devoted husband and father, Paul could usually be found on a field or court supporting one of the countless youth sports teams he coached in Chagrin. He found immense joy in supporting his community in myriad ways, including as president of the school board and, following retirement, as a volunteer football coach at Chagrin Falls High School.

He is survived by four children: Kent (Melanie), Kirk, Kyle (Jessica), and Courtney (Seth); six grandchildren: Carson, Quinn, Kellen, and Blakely Kiffner, and Daniella and Samson Willen; one brother: Leo (the late Thelma) Kiffner; and one sister: Agnes Hale.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Mary (the late Eugene) Munn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Chagrin Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rescue Village of Chagrin Falls, or to the Chagrin Falls Booster Club, both of which Paul passionately supported.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the Kiffner family. We are lucky to see his Chagrin Falls legacy in his son´s family. The Kiffner legacy of athleticism lives on. Glad that Paul lived to see his children and grandchildren thrive. He will be missed.

What a wonderful and kind genuine man. I had the pleasure of coaching his Son´s and working alongside Paul for many years. Paul always found a way to bond with our players. He will be sadly missed by many.
