Paul Robert Kush passed away peacefully at home with family on August 28, 2025, two years after his cancer diagnosis.

Paul was born July 8, 1945 to Walter and Margaret (Guyman) Kush in Olean, NY. After the war, his parents moved to California, and eventually settled in Columbus, Ohio. In 1963 he graduated from Aquinas College High School, an all-boys Catholic high school.

Paul always enjoyed driving big trucks with double trailers and spent his career working for UPS, driving package cars and semi-trucks. He retired in 2007 after 38 years of service.

Along with big trucks, he enjoyed fast cars-especially Corvettes, smoking cigars, drinking bourbon, watching football-especially The Ohio State Buckeyes, watching Fox News, and his Catholic faith. He was a third-degree Knight of Columbus.

He married his wife Candy Thoen in 1980 and together they raised seven children. In 2010, he and Candy relocated to Englewood, Florida, where Paul enjoyed jet skis, boating, the beach, and lounging in his pool. But mostly, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, especially when they came to visit him in Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Candy Kush, and seven children: Katrina Rollins of Delaware, Ohio; Kristi (Scott) Brown of Blacklick, Ohio; Kateri (Mark) Voit of-Westérvue-,Oh16; Kelsea ( Ohn Tilton of Somerset, Ohio; Kelly Kush of Galloway, Ohio; Kassandra Kush of Dallas, Texas; Kory Aurora Kush of Columbus, Ohio; and nine grandchildren: Kate Singleton; Vincent Rollins; Seth and Josh Brown; Luke Voit; Nicholas and Brody Tilton; Gabriel and Greyson Kush; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings: David Kush of Riverside, California; Susie Pollock of Cambria, California; Dolores Rios of Fontana, California, Michelle Schultz of Naples, Florida; and Rusty Kush of Newark, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret Kush.
