Gary Joseph Kush - Obituary
On Tuesday February 18, 2025, Gary J. Kush, age 67, left us to be with the Lord. He was born to Stanley J. Kush and Margaret C. Kush (Stanko) on February 11, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan.
Gary is predeceased in death by his father, Stanley and his mother Margie; his brothers David and Larry. He is survived by his wife, Sherry; their three children, Stacey (Demarco), Lauren (Chris), and Matthew. He was the proud grandpa to three grandchildren, Alex, Charlotte, and Lucas.
Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, wood working, and doing yard work. He was a perfectionist by nature and took great pride in his home and family. By profession Gary was a Tool and Die maker for over 30 years.
In late 2021 he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He successfully went through radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery and did awesome! Due to side effects of immunotherapy and COPD, recovery was not so easy. He always pushed forward the best he could, but it got to a point where his body could not fight any longer despite how much he loved life.
A funeral service will be held at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home located at 8459 Hall Road, Utica MI 48317. Monday, February 24, 2025; visitation from 11am until the time of his funeral service at 2pm. Please share a memory with his family at www.SullivanFuneralDirectors.com
