Dale James Poirier, 55, of Shelby Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2025, in the arms of his loving wife, and surrounded by family. Dale was born in Pontiac Michigan, on August 1, 1970, to the late Harold and Patricia Poirier. He was the youngest of 7 children, completing the Poirier Family of 9. Dale grew up in Utica, Michigan and graduated from Utica High School in 1988. He married the love of his life Cindy Tacia on October 31, 2023. Dale drove a gravel train for 29 years then, for the last few years, he was blessed to be employed by his lifelong best friend Ron Combs at Rock N Ron's Concrete & Trucking Inc. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. Dale enjoyed spending time at his favorite childhood places in Cheboygan, Michigan and Duncan Bay. His passions included watching the Detroit Lions, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and taking his boat out fishing on Lake Saint Clair. Dale loved laughing and dancing with his wife Cindy and spending time playing with his pups. He was always up for a gathering with friends that included good music and lots of laughter. Dale possessed a wicked sense of humor, and he loved making people laugh. Whether it be a witty comment, a corny joke or one of his many silly costumes, He always had people in stitches. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; Harold and Patricia Poirier, brothers; Art Poirier and Steve Poirier, sister; Sheila Weeks and his loyal German Shepard Heidi. Dale is survived by his devoted wife; Cindy, son; Roger (Abbigale) Poirier, daughter; Megan (Nick) Lysne, stepdaughter; Katelyn Nimbach, grandchildren; Easton, Talon, Baylor, Hailee, Billy and Cindy, sisters; Della Detloff and Pam Poirier McBee, brother; Harold (Randee) Poirier Jr, aunt; Barb Kwatkoski, several nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends. He is also survived by his beloved fur babies; Greta and Archie, grand-dogs; Scout, Scarlett, Luna, Poptart and Kaipo, and grand-cats; Adelaide and Melbourne. Dale will be remembered for his dedication to family, loyal friendship and his ability to have fun wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Dale's life with a memorial visitation and service on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Wm.
