Paul G. LaBonte, 73, of Maryville, Tennessee, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025.

Born January 20, 1952, in Colchester, Vermont, Paul spent most of his life in his home state before retiring to Tennessee.

Paul is survived by his wife, Linda Dragon; his children, Jessica MacDonough (John) and Sarah Johnson (Matt); and his stepchildren, Kevin Dragon (Jean) and Keith Dragon (Julie). He was the proud grandfather of Madison, Emma, Haley, Owen, Ava, Nicholas, Elyse, Colby, and Aynsleigh, and great-grandfather to Beau. He is also survived by his siblings, Mark (Pam), Cindy, and Scott LaBonte; his sisters-in-law, Sandra LaBonte and Denise Costa; his brother-in-law, Mark Bergeron (Kathy); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Rita and Romeo LaBonte, and his brother, Dennis LaBonte.

Paul’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. A dedicated member of his church community, he found great purpose in serving others. His love for his family was equally profound. Paul had many interests throughout his life, but nothing meant more to him than his faith and family. He was a man who lived with kindness, humility, and a spirit of service.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, Tennessee, on October 3, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Community Food Connection of Blount County via the link provided below and to the Catholic War Veterans of the United States of America, Inc. at: 237-20 92nd Rd., Bellerose, NY 11426-1110.

Though Paul’s presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on through the love he shared and the example he set for all who knew him.
