Paul Frank Leber Jr.

Paul Leber Jr. born January 18 1970 the youngest son of Paul and Maria Leber passed away on October 26, 2024 in the ICU at Memorial Herman hospital in the Woodlands. He was the youngest of five children: 3 stepchildren (oldest Brother Marcel Houston and 2 older sisters Madelaine Houston and Patricia Houston) and 1 older brother Karl. He spent his childhood years growing up in Waverly, Tx where he and his older brother Karl would spend many a day outdoors jumping fences with no trespassing signs attached to fish in local rancher's pastures who received many a phone call "hey there are 2 kids in your pasture at your pond fishin'.... It's just those Leber boy's it's ok. Going on in his formative years to spend time learning how to build. His one and greatest passion. He attended school in Coldspring where he excelled at every subject completing all the subject's that the school system had to offer by the 10th grade and served as a teacher's aide the last 2 years of high school. President of the student council; treasurer for the Science club he also was a member of the long-distance track team. Graduating National Honor Roll 16th out of a class of 100 and was awarded a scholarship to Sam Houston University. College was not to be and he would go on to serve in the military following in the footsteps of older sister Madelaine by enlisting in the Navy becoming a Hull Maintenance Technician being certified to weld nuclear and non-nuclear power plant components as well as obtaining certifications in environmental compliance assessment (U.S Air Force) defense hazardous material / waste handling (US Army) ; hazardous material emergency response (US Navy) ; asbestos removal (Old Dominion University Virginia) as well as serving on the ship defense force. Attached to the USS Peugeot Sound and later at the Trident Refit Facility Kings Bay, GA he would gain the follow decorations and awards: Naval and Marine Corps achievement medal; meritorious unit commendation; Navy E ribbon; Navy good conduct medal; national defense service medal; Southwest Asia service medal; armed forces service medal and sea deployment ribbon. Also during this time, he would marry Jennifer Leber Barker, and they would have a son Draque Raiden Leber. After his service in the military, he would go on to work at Valmont Industries of Shelbyville, Delaware where he received special recognition for his work in building the super structures for the overhead signs on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Washington DC. He would return home to Texas and work for MetFab Industries Pasadena, Tx where again he would receive accolades for his talent and hard work. Outside of work he was always helping others whether it be repairing or building or general helping hand he was there. But his life was not without its demons and failing health would take him from us. He is preceded in death by his son GM3 Draque Raiden Leber United States Navy Gunner Mate USS Curtis Wilbur guided missile destroyer; older brother, sisters, mother and Father and sister-in-law Jennifer Elaine Leber. He is survived by his Ex-Wife Jennifer Leber Barker; older brother Karl; sister-in-law Barbara Houston; brother-in-law Jim Fails; Niece Maria and nephew Cody Houston as well as many others who would gladly call him brother or friend.
Be troubled no more. Go build your house on high you will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
