In Loving Memory of Susana Guerrero Mendez August 11, 1959 – October 14, 2025
Susana Guerrero Mendez, 66, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 11, 1959, in Mier y Noriega, Nuevo León, Mexico, she was the cherished daughter of Marcos Guerrero and Andrea Mendez.
In January 1973, Susana married the love of her life, Antonio Sanchez Rodriguez, in her hometown of Mier y Noriega. Together, they built a beautiful family rooted in faith, love, and tradition. A devoted member of the Catholic Church, Susana found joy and solace in praying the rosary and living a life of kindness and devotion.
Susana's warmth radiated through her passions-gardening, cooking, watching soap operas, listening to music, embroidery, crocheting, coloring, and solving word search puzzles. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family, whose lives she enriched with her gentle spirit and unwavering love.
She is survived by her father, Marcos Guerrero; her daughters, Leticia Sanchez Guerrero (Isaul Torres), Maria D. Gretencord (Eric Gretencord), Eliza G. Aleman (David Aleman), Andrea Alfaro (Gerardo Alfaro), and Karla Z. de la Cruz (Alejandro De la Cruz); her sons, Juan Sanchez (Mary Sanchez) and Alberto Sanchez (Sloane Searing Sanchez); her sister, Eugenia Guerrero; and her beloved grandchildren: Yulissa, John, Emily, Priscila, Regina, Lucero, Miriam, Francisco, Alisson, Nadia, Lydia, Uriel, Isaias, Delia, Xavier, Jasmine, Blossom, Lily, Crystal, Amaris, Alani, Adriana, Gerardo, and Vincent. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Nayelli, Jayden, and Avani.
Susana was preceded in death by her mother, Andrea Mendez; her husband, Antonio Sanchez Rodriguez; her son, Francisco Javier Sanchez; and her sister, Anita Guerrero Mendez.
Her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
