Paul Alan LeVeck, age 73, of Berkley, MI. passed away at Corewell Health (William Beaumont) Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Mr. LeVeck was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on March 21, 1952. He was the son of Earl Steve LeVeck and Lelia Margaret (Hawley) LeVeck. Paul had a great love of music that was encouraged and nurtured in a music and fine arts filled home. His main instrument was the French horn, but he dabbled in all instruments. He attended Northern Michigan University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, He also earned a Master's Degree from Wayne State University. After graduating, he joined the Detroit Public Schools as a Band and Orchestra teacher at Knudsen Junior High. Throughout his 30 plus years of teaching music in Detroit, he worked at several different Middle, Junior High, and High Schools, finishing up his career at Denby High School. He was also instrumental in advocating for music education through MSBOA (Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association) and other outreach programs. He was also a member of the K of C Holy Rosary and Clawson Councils.

Besides his love of music, he had two other loves, He was an avid outdoorsman, spending as much time as he could snowmobiling, hunting, fishing especially at the family cabin in Ocqueoc up north. His second love was watching John Wayne movies, anything WWII and westerns. A tv favorite was watching and rewatching episodes of Gunsmoke

Surviving is his wife Kathleen of 38 years, son Nicholas (Katie) LeVeck, brother Thomas LeVeck, brothers in law Stephen Kuplicki, Frank (Andrea) Kuplicki and sisters in law Susan Ostrowski and Mary (Gordon) Pacholek as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 Twelve Mile Road in Berkley, (two blocks west of Woodward Avenue), on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 3-8pm with a parish and K of C rosary at 7 pm. He will lie in state at Christ Our Light Catholic Church (3077 Glouchester Drive) in Troy on Saturday September 13 from 9:30 until the time of the funeral mass at 10 am. Burial will immediately follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.

His quick wit and warped sense of humor will be greatly missed!
