Paul B. Lujan, a lifelong resident of Española, NM, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024.
Paul was born in Española, NM, on July 9, 1929, to Jacobo and Juanita Lujan. He was one of nine children. Raised by his grandmother, Pablita Lujan, and his aunt, Elisaida (Lala) Lujan, in Santo Niño, Paul maintained a close relationship with his parents and siblings, always ready to help when needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother and beloved Aunt Lala, brothers Jacobo, Ricardo, Dennis, Manuel, Roberto, Filimon, and sister Ida Bustos. Also preceded in death by his wife Louisa, sons Michael and Louis Lujan, daughter Veronica Arroyos, son-in-law Tony Arroyos, grandson Benjamin (BC) Lujan, great-grandson Kevin Lujan and great-granddaughter DeShawyne Lujan.
Paul is survived by his wife Nancy Lujan, son Paul Lujan (Cindy) of Alcalde, daughter-in-law Martha Lujan of Abiquiu, son Walter Lujan of Albuquerque, daughter Valerie Lujan of Rio Rancho and his sister Diolinda Herrera of Española.
His legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren, David Lujan of Hernandez, Fernando Sanchez (Denise) of Waxahachie, Texas, AnaLucia Valdez (Ernesto) of Cedar Crest, Angel Pacheco-Lujan of Taos, Diego Lujan (Denise) of Abiquiu, Maria Louisa Lujan of Abiquiu, Miguel Lujan (Crystal) of Hernandez, Kenneth Lujan (Joleana) of Albuquerque, Roberto Lujan (Aspen) of Embudo, Ricardo Lujan of Albuquerque, Rion Blevins of Espanola and Brandi Blevins (Anthony) of Rio Rancho, numerous great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, NM, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 12:00 noon. A private burial will be held at a later time.
