Pablo M. Marrujo, Sr. knew the life he wanted to live — and he lived it well.
On October 4, 2025, Paul, 86, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully. Born in Contreras, New Mexico, in February 1939, Paul spent most of his life in Albuquerque, where he built both a thriving business and a close-knit family legacy.
In 1971, Paul founded Quality Plumbing and Heating, Inc., a company that has proudly served Albuquerque and surrounding New Mexico communities for more than 50 years. Through his hard work, skill, and integrity, Paul established a reputation for excellence that continues today under the leadership of his grandson, Amos Gallegos, and help from his daughter, Carolyn Gallegos. Together, they carry forward Paul’s commitment to quality and service.
Paul was a man of many gifts — a hardworking tradesman, a generous mentor, and a devoted family man. He took great pride in tending his beautiful yard and flowers, enjoyed his luck at the casino, and was known for his quick wit and ability to bring laughter to those around him. Above all, Paul derived joy from imparting his wisdom, lifting up his loved ones, and guiding others through his work and the example he set.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Odelia Marrujo; his brother, Trini Marrujo; and his parents, Juan and Almeritana Marrujo.
Paul is survived by his four children — Dolores Marrujo, Carolyn Gallegos (Phil), Paul Marrujo Jr. (Sandra), and Geri Gallegos (Rodney) — as well as six grandchildren and soon-to-be thirteen great-grandchildren, who will carry on his spirit of generosity, strength, and love. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Josie Marrujo and family and Celina Lopez and family.
Paul’s family takes comfort in knowing that his example of work ethic, loyalty, and love will live on in all who knew him. Together with Odelia, Paul built a legacy of devotion and generosity that will be remembered for generations — generations who will remain forever grateful.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Lomas, followed by a reception. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
