Paul Jon McCarragher, 97, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 19, 1927, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, to John and Matilda McCarragher, Paul lived a long, full life marked by devotion to his family, his country, and his community.

After attending the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1947, Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army as part of the Army of Occupation in Germany from 1950 to 1952. His service reflected the same quiet strength and commitment he carried throughout his life.

On June 30, 1951, Paul married the love of his life, Marietta Bausman. Together, they built a warm and loving home filled with laughter, hard work, and enduring values.

Paul spent four decades working as a steamfitter for Wisconsin Electric, where he earned the respect of his peers and left a lasting mark through his dedication and skill. He was a proud member of the American Legion, actively involved in posts both in Wisconsin and Naples, Florida.

An avid fisherman and boater, Paul found joy and peace on the water - but his greatest joy came from time spent with family. Whether on a lake, in the backyard, or around the kitchen table, Paul cherished every moment shared with his loved ones.

He is survived by his children: Michael (Karen), Joan (James), and Thomas (Patricia); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. His legacy lives on in their lives and in the values, he passed down: kindness, humility, dedication, and love.

Paul will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.
