Our Beloved Brother- Petey
Born Paul Peter Menditto Jr. on June 20, 1957, and lovingly known as "Petey" to his family and close friends.
He was born to Paul Peter Sr. Menditto and Ruth Marie Menditto in Westchester, Pennsylvania.
Paul spent the first 10 years of his life, enjoying the country air that he loved, with a pony named Jolly Boy, and a German Shepherd named King.
When his family moved to South Florida in 1967, it didn't take Petey long to get settled in and make plenty of friends, while enjoying fishing, rope swings, boating and all that South Florida had to offer. Known in his early years as one who always looked out for others, he was deeply passionate and lovingly protective.
As the family grew in the 70's, Pete's heart seemed larger than life, as he always had room for more and more love and affection as a big brother. He was always looking out for and being a blessing to his brothers and sisters. He was generous to those that needed it without being asked. He loved us without a word.
As Petey entered his mid to late teen years, he had a natural passion for learning the various trades quickly. There was hardly anything that he couldn't pick up, from electrical and plumbing to carpentry and more.
In the early 1980's, He found an opportunity to work with glass and mirrors. This blossomed into him partnering with his brother-in-law to start his own successful company that ran for over 30 years called Mirrors and More!
Petey's sincerity, integrity and faith guided his life in business, and he found great joy in creating meaningful experiences for his loved ones. In his 20's and 30's Petey enjoyed surprising his family members with exciting trips to theme parks, boat rides and other places.
He departed this life on January 16, 2025, and entered the presence of his Savior Jesus, to whom he committed his soul all those years earlier.
The Shepherd of his soul now has a part of all those that called Petey, or Paul a brother and a friend! You are deeply loved and will be missed our beloved brother, our Petey! See you soon.
