He is survived by 2 sons: Paul Merriam II and Edward Merriam (Priscilla), all of Shepherdsville, KY;
1 daughter: Helen Fann (Jerry), Scottsville, KY;
3 daughters-in-law: Cheryl Trulock, Liberty, KY; Julia Merriam, Scottsville, KY and Denise Clemens, Shepherdsville, KY;
6 grandchildren: Josh Ottersbach, Amanda Ottersbach, Amy Ottersbach, James Clemens, John Paul Merriam, Jessica Merriam;
6 great grandchildren;
8 step grandchildren: Tracy Rhein (Allen), Samuel Trulock, Chris Trulock (Sabrina),Tiffany Henderson (Josh), Heather Clemens, Robert Fann, Laura Martin (Zach) and Desiree Fann;
2 step great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 son: Johann Merriam; 2 sisters: Priscilla Merriam and Elaine Merriam; 1 brother; his ex-wife: Billie Joan Wise Blair and 1 step son: Samuel Trulock.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating and burial to follow at Guardian Angel Trulock Cemetery in Elkhorn, KY. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
