Paul Edward Mitchell

Paul Edward Mitchell, 80, of Tuxedo, NY, son of the late Harold Leroy Mitchell (Cushing, ME) and Wilda Weaver Douglas (Sloatsburg, NY), passed away December 31st, 2025.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Atkinson, his son Alan Paul Mitchell and his wife, Susan, his grandchildren, Katlyn Westphal and her husband Nicholas, Emily and Charlotte Atkinson, Max and Anna Mitchell, and his great-granddaughters Alice and Olivia Westphal.
A proud Navy Veteran, Paul was honored to assume the duties of Commander of the Tuxedo American Legion Post 293 and organize the annual Tuxedo Memorial Day Parade with his good friend, Paul Tompkins.
Paul was involved in many aspects of town life, from his employment with the Highway Department to his past service with the Ambulance Corp and Fire Department. He loved to keep informed of the town news with his coffee clutch buddies, Joe, Tommy and Vic.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm at Edward's Funeral Chapel in Suffern, NY on January 10, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Tuxedo Fire Department - Company 1.
