Paul was born on June 15, 1952 in Bangor, Maine and passed away at the VA Hospital in Temple, TX on May 1, 2023 surrounded by his wife, YiCha Kim, son, Paul and sister, Pat after a fierce battle with cancer.
Paul was the son of the late Warren Noyes and his wife Norma "Darling" Noyes. He grew up in Carmel and graduated from Hermon High School in 1971 and then started his military career in the United States Army. He spent two years on active duty, serving one year in Vietnam as a MP. He returned home to work at Viner Shoe and remained in the Army National Guard. Paul decided to go back on active duty in the Army and restarted his career in the mess hall where he continued rising through the ranks until he retired in 1998. He served his country during Desert Storm, served in Germany, and met and fell in love with his wife, YiCha Kim during a tour in Korea. He returned to his home base at Fort Hood, Texas where they began their loving life together. Paul and Kim were blessed with two sons; Paul Warren Noyes and Jack Norman Noyes who they lost in 2004 after being paralyzed in a sporting accident. Jack was able to return home and start college, but sadly passed due to complications from his injuries. Along with Paul's military career, Paul and Kim also started a property business that they continued to run.
Paul loved his family very much and tried to come home every year to visit if he was not deployed elsewhere. Once he retired, they purchased the family homestead in Carmel and put up a new home that they came back to from May to September. In Maine, Paul would spend much time fishing wherever he could find a good spot, loved fiddle heading, gardening, and driving around Maine enjoying the beauty of the state he came from. In Texas Paul was an avid bowler, bowling in leagues with his wife. He will be sadly missed by everyone at the lanes who loved his smile, laughter, generosity, and humor. Paul attended Mountain View Baptist Church in Harker Heights where he rejoiced in his faith and was blessed to make so many loving relationships. He was always willing to help with anything asked of him, he made a family of friends and he truly loved singing for the congregation.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; YiCha Kim and son; Paul of Harker Heights, Texas, brothers; Warren Noyes and wife, Cindy of Newport, ME., and Norman Noyes and wife, Denise of Hampden, ME., sisters; Carol Dunton of Carmel, ME., and Patrice Tait and companion. Daryl Dawson of Brewer, ME., aunts; Christine Treadwell and husband, Russell of Carmel, ME., Jan Noyes, of Carmel, ME., Aunt Gerry from California, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins who will sorely miss his teasing personality, his loving smile and generous spirit.
The family wishes to extend an invitation to join them for refreshments after services.

Mr. Noyes. I just found out today that you left to go to your forever home. You will truly be missed. I have never met a kinder man. You were in inspiration to us all. From the loving look in your eyes when speaking of your wife to the care you put into your rentals. You were my all time favorite landlord.
Sincerely.
Patty and Justin
