STOW - Paul Edward Ondo, Jr., dearly loved husband, proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away February 24, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born on May 6, 1944, in Kittanning, PA, he was the second child, and only son, to parents Paul and Mary Ondo. He was a long-time Stow resident with one foot always in Pennsylvania.
In 1964, Paul married the love of his life and shared sixty years making memories with Sandy. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and passionately cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Family and friends will always remember him for his big hug and the countless things he built and repaired. He and Sandy loved being at their cabin and spending as much time as possible there. He retired from Aircraft Braking Systems in 2008 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow, and St. Philip Parish in Linesville, PA.
Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary, and sisters, Joan, Janet, Joyce, and Jacquelyn, he is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Teri (Kevin); son, Paul (Jill); grandchildren, Lindsey (Steve), Cady (Addison), and Jessica (Logan); seven great-grandchildren, and sisters, Jean and Jocelyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224.
Burial will be held at noon on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Ford City, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society
