Paul Arthur Orrick, 81, of Clarksville, TN went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2025. He passed away at home, surrounded by his family.

Paul was born July 1943 in Mt Vernon, IL to James Arthur Orrick and Ada Adams Orrick. Paul's parents, an infant sister, Norma Jean, and Brothers, John Russell Orrick and Jimmy Bob Orrick proceeded him in death.

Paul is survived by wife of 60 years and 11 months, Retha Lay, whom he married June 1964 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY; One Son, John G. (Mercedes) Orrick of Elgin, IL 2 Daughters, Elisabeth (Mark) Johnson of Paris, IL and Rebecca (Doug) Artis of Clarksville, TN.; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paul attended elementary, junior high, and high school in Mt Vernon. After Graduating Mt Vernon Township High School in 1961, he attended and graduated from Lexington Baptist College, Lexington, Kentucky. His great passion was serving his Lord by preaching, teaching, and pastoring Baptist churches. He counted it an honor to have been able to serve 50 years in ministry. He served as a pastor and Bible teacher in Indiana; Illinois; and Ohio. He retired from the ministry in 2019; and moved to Clarksville, TN in 2020.

He and Retha are members of Faith Family Church, Oak Grove, KY.

Funeral services will be at Johnston's Funeral Home, Ina, IL Thursday, May 22, 2025
Visitation from 10:00 -11:00 am, followed by the funeral service. Burial service at Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Rte. 37 South, Mt Vernon.

Friend and former Pastor, Roger Ellsworth and Nephew, Dr. Jim Scott Orrick will officiate the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that gifts be given to mission projects of your local church or Baptist Faith Missions (church-planting missions in the nations of the world).
