Denise Orrick Obituary

Denise was born in Henderson, Kentucky on May 10, 1969 to Ernest and Kaye (Thurby) Orrick. She graduated from Webster County High School. Denise went on to earn her nursing degree and worked at the Evansville State Hospital for 15 years. In her free time, Denise enjoyed watching HGTV and working in her garden. She loved her pets but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Denise is survived by her daughters, MaKenzie Gibson and Taylor Beckett both of Evansville, IN; her mother, Kaye (Thurby) Orrick of Nebo, KY; sisters, Ladonna Scott (Bryan) of Manitou, KY and Lara Lawrence of Henderson, KY; brother, Lee Orrick (Tobie) of Sebree, KY; and by several nieces and nephews.
Denise was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Orrick.
A celebration of Denise's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Jackie Dale Townsend officiating. The Southern Indiana Nursing Honor Guard will conduct a service honoring Denise.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until service time on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh Humane Society, PO Box 6711, Evansville, IN 47719.
