Scott Andrew Joest, 61, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at his home.

Scott was born in Evansville, IN, on February 1, 1964 to the late Richard and Betty (Fulton) Joest. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He worked in the mortgage business,working at Progressive Land Title with his brother, Sid. Scott was an active and proud member of the Optimist Club. He lived his life to the fullest. Scott was spontaneous and adventurous. His happiest moments were spent with his daughter, Eliza, going to rock concerts and traveling to various countries around the world. Scott was thrilled to become a grandpa to his little buddy Rowan.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Eliza Brady (Mike); sister, Sheila Williams (John) ; brother, Sid Joest (Rita); grandson, Rowan Brady and many nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Rd., Evansville, IN 47710 with Father Ray Brenner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, and again from 9:00 am until 10:00 am Mass on Tuesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with a lunch to follow after burial.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, 205 West 700 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
