She and John enjoyed traveling together and enjoyed many trips both domestically and abroad. Post retirement she filled her leisure moments playing cards or grabbing breakfast/lunch out with friends, shopping and rarely passing a garage sale or clearance aisle without stopping, playing Bingo and visiting her family in Evansville.
She married John Bernard Joest on November 4, 1952. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1999.
She is survived by four children: Jennifer A. Gibson of Whiteland, Indiana, Jerry L. (wife Kathy) Joest of Carmel, Indiana, Julia G. Joest of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jason P. (wife Amy) Joest of Greenwood, Indiana.
