Julianna Rhye, 70 of Clay passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at her residence.
Julianna was born in Dixon on April 21, 1954 to the late J.V. and Bettye Townsend.
She graduated from Webster County High School in 1972 and from Murray State University in 1976. Julianna was Webster County Treasurer for 7 years and was the city clerk for the City of Clay for over 20 years, she was the treasurer for Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, was part of the Clay Rebuild Downtown Committee and she enjoyed working with Distinguished Young Women of Webster County. She was a member of Pennyrile Church of Christ in Madisonville.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years Bruce, son Clay Rhye (Melanie) of Henderson and granddaughter Brandy Rhye.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Terry Rhye officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay. Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2025 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the funeral home and 9:00 AM till service time on Friday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 South Green St., Henderson, KY 42420 or Oddfellows Cemetery, c/o Jessica Mitchell, 750 Oscar Todd Rd, Clay, KY 42404.
