He was born on April 27, 1955, in Copperas Cove, TX, the son of the late Mr. Homer D. Bourland and Colita JoAnn Blackmon Bourland. He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Anthony "Tootie" Bourland on October 15, 2022.
Mike was a member of Community of Hope First Church of Nazarene; he retired from the US Army after 21 years of service working as a Registered Nurse rising to the rank of Master Seargent; he graduated from Webster County High School. His hobbies were deep sea fishing, cooking, and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Teriza of Adams, TN; his sons, Brian (Kimberly) Bourland of Newport News, VA; Aaron (Lauren) Bourland of Tumwater, WA; his sister, Lynette (Jason) Lewis of Manitou, KY; his brother, Ricky Bourland of Flat Rock, KY; his grandchildren, Avalyn, Caden, and Noah Bourland.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday September 19, 2025, at the Community of Hope First Church of Nazarene with Pastor Jeremy Duranceau officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the service hour at the church.
