A FAITHFUL SERVANT...

Paul Lee Thomas Patterson Jr was born on May 14,1949 in Switchback, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Lee Thomas Patterson and Annie Williams Patterson, paternal grandparents Sydney and Elizabeth Patterson; aunts Armazel Williams and Mary Lee Valentine (Thomas).

Paul graduated from Northfork High School in North Fork, West Virginia in 1967. In those High School years he played the drums, loved to dance, loved music of various genres, had many friends, but several close friends he grew up with, such as The Late Smitty, John Seymour, Frank Cardwell and another best friend from grade school and throughout his life was Sam Burger, whom has been there until the very end of his earthly departure.

Paul attended Ambassadors of Christ Church for many years. Throughout him being committed to serving his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, he did prison ministry for over the past 25 years. He had such a huge impact and was a great influencer on men, by inspiring and encouraging them to seek the mind of Christ. The love and compassion for ministry caused the men along with the team involved, to show an outpour of love towards him.

Paul protected and served our country in the Vietnam War within the Military Branch for three years as a Medic and as a result of that, his comrades named him “Mad Doc”. Paul left the army with many Honors. He was a proud veteran, that loved sharing a plethora of heart felt and very funny stories, that brings tears of joy, to one's eyes. We the family along with numerous of others are so proud of his military accomplishments and give Glory unto God for them all.

Paul was educated at Franklin University and shortly afterwards became an Accounting Educator at Franklin Univ. Paul was known as an Accounting Genius and Tax Guru. He established his own successful tax and accounting service: "The Patterson Financial Group, LLC", in which was established in 1988. He first started his business in his childhood home, located on Cardell Street. Paul faithfully served many in the Ohio area and remained dedicated until the very end. In his personal time, he loved to grill and always aimed to work hard, when he put his hands to the plow. He was an Entrepreneur, that never stop grinding.

He leaves to cherish memories of his aunt Odessa Lipscomb (Lloyd) a blessed Matriach and Lathronea Gresham (John) both from Maybeury, West Virginia, his sisters Joan Spencer, Angela Curry, and Tina Valentine (Fred); his only son, Paul Lee Thomas III (Renee), and grandson Paul Lee Thomas IV, Mary Welch (Paul III"s Mother), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loved ones.
