Paul A. Peters Sr, 60, passed away peacefully on September 23rd 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones in his home in Greenville, NY.

Paul was born in Bangore Maine to the late Carol Peters and Thomas Peters on October 3rd 1964. Paul was a beloved brother to Thomas Peters Jr from Niverville, New York, Eric Peters from Knoxville Tennessee , Diana Peters from Austin Texas and Kevin Peters from Eagan Minnesota. Paul served four years in the Army reserves from 1982 to 1986 . Paul Peters was married to his first wife in 1995, Stacy L Newkirk for 18 years. Paul is survived by his children Scott M Newkirk, Carolanne L Peters, Paul A Peters Jr. and Jacob M Kirkpatrick. Paul is survived by numerous other children he adopted throughout his life. Paul is survived by many grandchildren who fondly called him 'Pappy' or 'Poppa.' Paul spent the last 10 years with his partner Michele Lauster in Greenville. The pair loved to attend concerts, trips, and enjoyed quiet nights together full of laughter and love.

Paul could always be found either tinkering with something broken, or helping someone in need. No job was too big or too small. Paul was a friend to all and to those lucky enough, he was family. Paul enjoyed fishing, concerts, watching the animals in his backyard in the mornings, motorcycles, the casino, and enjoying time with his senior cat 'Mush.' Family and close friends will attend his graveside services on Monday at 11am at St.Johns cemetery, Valatie, NY. A celebration of life will be determined and announced shortly. In lieu of flowers or gifts please send donations to the Mohawk Humane Society in honor of Paul's love for all animals.
