Paul Gregory Powell

Paul Gregory Powell passed from this life on February 24, 2026, at the age of 71 in Hominy, Oklahoma.

Greg was born on March 9, 1954, in Hominy, Oklahoma, the son of Jack G. and Freda O. (Oliver) Powell. Greg grew up in Hominy and attended school there, later graduating with the Class of 1972. Greg was united in marriage on January 28, 1978, in Hominy to Carolyn Renee Whited, and they established their home in Hominy. Greg worked in the oil field for a short time before attending AMI in Florida. After graduating, he returned to Oklahoma. Greg worked at Ugly John's in Cleveland for a couple of years. He then accepted a job with Tulsa Boat Sales in Tulsa until he retired. After retirement, Greg worked from home for many years.

Greg always enjoyed going to the lake, racing boats, motorcycles, and anything that went fast. For many years, Greg raced at Tulsa International Speedway. Spending time at the lake during the summers was always enjoyable and memorable.

Survivors are Carolyn of the home, daughter Andrea Powell of Hominy, Oklahoma; siblings David Powell of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Debra P. Chapman and husband, Hugh of Bristow, Oklahoma, Teri P. Powell of Houston, Texas, Joe Powell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and James Powell and wife, Susan of Cleveland, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Freda Powell.
