Paul Price Obituary

Paul Lloyd Price, 89, of Traer, died on February 15, 2023, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Paul was born on August 8, 1933, in Mahaska County, the son of Lloyd and Mary (Chilcote) Price. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years. In 1956, Paul married Pauline Craig. Two children were born to this union, Larry and Deb. The couple later divorced. On May 5, 1979, Paul was united in marriage to Linda Parsons. He worked at Maytag, drove truck, worked at Morrells Meat Packing Plant, and retired from John Deere. Paul enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, hunting mushrooms, reading, playing pool, gardening, and helping people. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James; and a grandson, Jody Price. Paul is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda of Traer; 2 children, Larry (Stacie) Price of Albia and Debra (Harold) Barnes of Bussey; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer (Dennis) Conley, Jesse (Robin) Price, Nick (Emily) Prevo, Michael Prevo, Greg Dye, and Geoff (Stephanie) Dye; 11 great grandchildren with 2 on the way, Carson, Caleb, Anastasia, Kaitlyn, Braydon, Grace, Willow, Tate, Ryan, Langdon, and Lincoln; 2 siblings, Wilma Allison of Lowell, Arkansas and John Price of Bussey; 3 step children, Steven Peterson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Shari Carr of Evansdale, and Natalie Peterson of Victor; 7 step grandchildren, Andrew Peterson, Lauren Cass, Jayson Paculba, Stevie Leigh Diederich, Dayne Paculba, Meghan Klunenberg, and Mitchel Lineman; and 4 step great grandchildren, Madison, Luke, Talan, and Taydem. The visitation will be on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM, at Calvary Baptist Church in Dysart. The funeral will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:00, at Calvary Baptist Church in Dysart, followed by military rites conducted by the Dysart American Legion
