Gary Clinton Price, 74, passed away on July 26, 2025, in Asheville, North Carolina. Born on September 16, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, Gary spent much of his life serving the community as a professional with the Transportation Security Administration at the Denver Airport before retiring.
A longtime resident of the Denver area, Gary shared his passion for the great outdoors with his beloved wife, Karen. They often ventured into the stunning landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and created lasting memories on countless hiking trips, relishing the beauty of nature that surrounded them. They relocated to Western North Carolina four years ago, where he continued to embrace life with enthusiasm and grace.
Gary was not only an outdoor enthusiast but also a deeply spiritual person. His commitment to his faith was evident, as he devoted himself to the Redeemer Anglican Church over the last four years. Prior to that he was a member of the St. Columba Antiochian Orthodox Church, Lafayette, Colorado, where he was a gifted and dedicated organist. His presence within these church communities was felt by many, and he will be remembered for his kindness and the joy he brought to those around him.
Though Gary is mourned deeply, he is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Price and Marjorie Price, as well as his half-brother, Kenneth Price. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to family and faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Cassandra Saltsman Price, who will carry forth his spirit in her heart, as she remembers their adventures together and his impactful presence in her life. He is also survived by many extended famiy and friends. Gary's warmth, compassion, and steadfastness will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the values he embodied.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a future date to be announced at the Redeemer Anglican Church.
