He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kathy Rasmason, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage filled with deep love, respect, and unwavering partnership, and a loving father to his children, Nick, Megan, and Carrie. Paul's family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with his nine grandchildren.
A retired employee of Canadian National, Paul dedicated many years to the railroad industry, a passion that defined a significant part of his life. He served in the Army, embodying the values of dedication and service. In his retirement, Paul engaged in hobbies such as swimming and bowling, where he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was known for his culinary skills, particularly his famous spaghetti sauce and chocolate chip pancakes, which was a favorite among his loved ones. To countless people, he was more than a friend, he was a father, a guide, and a constant presence, someone who would pick you up anywhere, anytime, and give without hesitation.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Anderson-Goodale Memorial Homes, 21131 W. Renwick Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544 (www.anderson-goodale.com) 815-577-5250
