Dr . Reddin was my favorite professor while attending Mesa State. He was "Mesa's Prettiest Professor." In fact on a final one question was what does MPP stand for? He disposed the color pink, yet loved Ann dearly. He was a Big Kid at heart. He is the reason I enjoy History today. He is also one of the reasons I'm a teacher. He always cared for his students. Over spring break my senior year I had to have knee surgery.A quizwas planned for the week after vacation. I definitely didn't want to have to take a makeup quiz, and knew I wouldn't be back on campus that soon. So I asked hm if I could take the test early. He then admitted that he was going to write it over vacation. Thus, after vacation and after I got back on campus I could take the original quiz. I ended up having complications and wasn't allowed to return to campus until a week before finals. Yet because I had kept up with the reading and assignments., as well as communicated about the situation I pulled a solid A in the class.
Now that my daughter will be attending Colorado Mesa, I told her she should take every class she could by Dr. Reddin. Unfortunately, she will not be able to. I will always remember "Mesa's Prettiest Professor," fondly.

I learned so much from him, he inspired me to become a History teacher (Middle School). Many terrific memories.

I have recently been thinking about Dr. Reddin, and wondering how he was. I attended Mesa State College from 200-2004. I took every class that he taught minus one or two because I took them at a different University. I had his "Pink make men weak" speech down, remember being thrown off completely when instead of wearing his usual sweatshirt, jeans and boots, he wore shorts and sandals with socks. Dr. Reddin has always been my favorite professor hands down. I looked forward to all the books that he assigned and was so thankful that we didn't have a normal text book. Those books really helped me enjoy and appreciate what he was teaching about at the time. I enjoyed stopping by his office and just chatting with him. He was funny, kind, insightful, and so much more. I was so very sad to come across his obituary today. I know we don't live forever but I was kind of hoping that he would. He will be forever missed. Annie, Jed, and Sue, I know that I never met you or knew you but I truly felt like I did through the various stories he shared with us. Thank you for sharing him with us.

OH I am so saddened by this news! Paul was an AMAZING person! He was not only a professor but a motivator. He taught me and helped me to love what I learned! I am so sincerely sorry for your loss! He was a great man.

An engaging man that I met at the gym, Paul was always one to come over and say hello while working with my special needs clients. It was later when I found out he lived up the street with my fiancée. He invited us over to meet Ann and to see the water feature. I regret that we never made the time... Prayers to you all, Stacy & Dominic Romero

Dr. Reddin was my favorite professor! I was not a fan of history until I took his Civil War course in the late 1990s. Reddin brought history alive and made me want to learn more. In addition he delighted us with lovely stories about his own history and family. He will be missed.

Dr. Reddin was one of the best! He is the professor who inspired me to be a history major. He had a way of bringing the past to life.. and connecting to the world we are in today. I fondly remember his tales about the Mean Red Headed lady (always a twinkle in his eye when he said that) and the Big Headed Boy.
So sorry for you loss! He was truly an inspiring teacher.
