Paul Rhone Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Killeen, Texas. He was born on January 20, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, and led a remarkable life marked by service, kindness, and generosity.
Paul dedicated over 20 years of his life to serving in the Army, where he held the distinguished role of infantry. His commitment to his country was unwavering, reflecting strong sense of duty and respect for his fellow servicemen. Following his military career, Paul contributed to his community through a decade of service at the city hall in Copperas Cove, Texas. During these years, he worked diligently to support and uplift those around him.
Known for his kind and generous nature, Paul had a profound love for helping people. He was often seen lending a hand to those in need throughout his community, embodying the spirit of compassion. His dedication to service extended beyond his professional endeavors and was truly a cornerstone of his personality.
Paul found joy in simple pleasures; he had a passion for collecting coins and cards, and he enjoyed watching television during his leisure time. His interests brought him joy and weren’t just hobbies – they were part of what made him who he was.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Chong Rhone; his sister-in-law, Suk Hee Yu; his niece, Julie; and his grandson, Amir. Paul is also remembered fondly by his sisters, Debra and Jenny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Paul Rhone Sr., and his older sister, Mary.
A funeral service will be held to honor his life on October 7, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at the Copperas Cove Location, located at 1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. Following the service, a graveside service is scheduled at 1:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX, to pay tribute to his military service and legacy.
Paul Rhone Jr. leaves behind a legacy of kindness and public service that will be cherished by all who knew him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched, and he will be dearly missed.
