Peggy Davis, a cherished figure known for her kindness and dedication, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Copperas Cove, Texas. Born on January 14, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, Peggy lived a life defined by her love for children and her deep commitment to nurturing those around her.
With over 25 years dedicated to childcare, Peggy made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children, embracing each day with a warm smile and an open heart. She pursued her passion with fervor, earning a Bachelor's degree in early childcare development. Her selfless nature and welcoming spirit allowed her to create an environment where children felt safe, loved, and encouraged to grow. Peggy’s ability to put others first was a testament to her exceptionally caring personality.
Family was everything to Peggy, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The moments spent talking and laughing with them were among her most treasured memories. Her legacy lives on through her loved ones: her devoted husband, Larry Davis; her son, Matthew Logan, and his wife, Charlyn, of California; her daughter, Nicole Logan; and her beloved grandchildren, Gabriella Logan of Miami, FL, and Jacob Logan, along with her two great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of Peggy’s heart, and they will forever be inspired by her unwavering love.
Peggy was also an active member of the Moose Lodge 2029 in Copperas Cove, Texas, where her spirit of community shone brightly. She was proud of her accomplishments, both personal and professional, always striving to make a difference in the world in her own remarkable way.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rocky and Dorothy Gabriel, who surely welcomed her with open arms as she departed from this world.
The loss of Peggy Davis is felt deeply by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family and community will continue to inspire those left behind. She will be lovingly remembered and profoundly missed.
