Paul Anthony Rivard, 82, of Uxbridge formerly of Medway, died September 5 at his home. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Robinson) Rivard for the past 62 years.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on October 8, 1942, the son of the late Anthony and Irma (Betrand) Rivard. Paul was raised in Rhode Island and had lived in Medway for over 30 years, before moving to Uxbridge 15 years ago.

Paul and Elizabeth wintered the past 16 years in their Lakeland, Florida home, Paul's "Happy Place".

He owned CPS HVAC of Marlboro. Paul was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and enjoyed traveling around the country in his RV with his wife.

Paul proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam era, attaining the rank of Corporal.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ann Davey and her husband Thomas of Minnesota, John Rivard and his wife Mary Sheila of Medway, Mary Rivard and her companion David Frimodig of Sunapee, New Hampshire, and Catherine Rivard of Uxbridge.

He is also survived by his siblings, Roger Rivard and his wife Avis of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Moe Rivard of Vermont, Pauline Houle and her husband Gerard of Auburndale, Florida, Suzanne Houle and her husband Paul of Lancaster and Rosemarie Wignall and her husband Donald of Rhode Island.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law John Paul Robinson and his wife Phyllis of Pembroke.

Paul is also survived by his grandchildren Connor Davey, Andrew Davey, Patrick Rivard, Katrina Rivard, Chad Lamont and Abigail Lamont and his great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Leighton, Lumen and Lawson.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (ginleyfunerahomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 11 am.

Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 10 from 4-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Salmon Hospice 37 Birch Street, Milford, MA 01757.
