Paul Ruiz Obituary
Tony was raised in Los Angeles before moving to Chattanooga in 1994 at which time he, along with his family founded the El Meson Restaurant at Hamilton Place.
At the time of Tony's death he was owner and operator of the El Meson in Hixson.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan.
Tony held membership with the OLPH Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ruiz; children, Sarah Ruiz, Angelica (Alexander) Ahlyege, and Tony (Hannah) Ruiz, Jr; parents, Raul and Maria Ruiz Sr.; sister, Julia Ruiz; four brothers, Raul (Courtney) Ruiz, Jr., Alberto (Gretchen) Ruiz, Edgar (Jade) Ruiz, and Oscar (Jennifer) Ruiz; grandson, Paul Anthony Ruiz III; all of Chattanooga. Loving nieces and nephews, Tallon Ruiz, Karina Ruiz, Raul Ruiz III, Alberto "Tito" Ruiz, Antonio Ruiz, Edi Ruiz Jr., Stella Ruiz, Eva Ruiz, and Oscar Ruiz Jr; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, November 17th at 2:00 pm at OLPH Catholic Church with Father Arthur Torres officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 12:00 pm until the hour of the service.
