Paul N. Sander, 92, of Massillon, passed away at home surrounded by family on January 21, 2026.
He was born on August 29, 1933 to the late Peter and Celestine (Winkel) Sander in Massillon, OH.
A 1951 graduate of Washington High School, he was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a local IBEW 540 electrician after 45 years. Paul was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Barbara and The Knights of Columbus. He volunteered with Faith in Action and the Food Pantry at St. Barbara's Catholic Church for 33 years. He enjoyed camping and traveling in his custom built motor home. He was skilled at woodworking and enjoyed making things for family and friends. Paul was dedicated to his family and always put others before himself.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Donna (Featheringham) Sander; their children, Scott (Barb) Sander, Vicki (Mark Satterly) Sander, Debbie (Rob) McNamara, and Linda (Tim) Shafer; grandchildren, Nate (Jodi) Sander, Brett (Hannah) Sander, Eric Sander, Patrick McNamara, Molly (Louie) Doenges, Katie (Preston) Newbold, Matt (Jen Jergens) Shafer, and Erin (Sam) Thornton; great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Noah, Madilyn, Lucas, and Levi; and sister, Mildred Walsh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Sander and Harold Sander.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 30, 2026, 10:30 am at the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Barbara. Burial will follow in St. Barbara Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, St. Barbara or charity of the donors choice.
