Paul Sawin

Paul R. Sawin, age 71, of Pocasset, in Bourne died Sunday, October 12, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of Patricia (Hamblin) Robinson Sawin, and the son of the late Paul and Phyllis (Albanese) Sawin. Born in Newton on October 4, 1954, Paul was a graduate of Newton South High School. He worked as a construction supervisor in the housing industry or many years. Moving to Cape Cod in the early 1990's, he worked with boat appraisals and fabrication. In his younger years, he worked with bathtub refinishing. Paul loved boating and owning boats. He was passionate about shell fishing, whether it was oysters or clams. He spent many seasons in Bourne and on Monument beach looking for shellfish. Paul is known for his outgoing and friendly personality.
Besides his loving wife Patricia, he is survived by his step daughters Carly Beaulieu and her husband Gerard Geary of Pocasset and Delray Beach, Florida, and Victoria Guidetti and her husband Darryl of Port Charlotte, Florida, his grandchildren Lily, Alex and Haley, and his siblings David Sawin and his wife Diane of Hanover, his nephews Christopher and Scott, and his niece Victoria.
