Paul L. Schettler, a man whose zest for life was as vast as the great outdoors he cherished, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on December 4, 1954, Paul's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of adventure and a heart full of love.

Paul is survived by his loving partner, Deborah Hock, who was his partner in every sense and his companion in many an adventure. Together, they shared a life rich in laughter, love, and mutual respect. He also leaves behind a close-knit circle of cousins, Debbie's family, and a multitude of friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.

From the snow-capped peaks to the tranquil lakes, Paul's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He was an avid snow skier and snowmobiler, embracing the thrill of the chill as he traversed frosty landscapes with skill and excitement. When the snow melted, he could be found biking along scenic trails or boating on serene waters, always with a sense of wonder and a readiness to explore.

Music was another of Paul's passions, with the Rolling Stones holding a special place in his heart. The iconic beats and timeless lyrics often served as the loud soundtrack to his life's many moments. His love for music was only rivaled by his fondness for laughter, with the Three Stooges being his go-to source of joy. Curly, in particular, never failed to elicit a hearty chuckle from Paul, a testament to his playful spirit.

Those who knew Paul would describe him as loving and kind, a man who approached every person and every situation with a warm heart and an open mind. His adventurous soul led him to not only explore the physical world but also to forge deep and lasting connections with those around him.

Paul's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the pursuit of happiness. He lived his life fully, embracing each day with enthusiasm and a smile that could light up a room. As we bid farewell to Paul L. Schettler, we take solace in the memories he leaves behind, the lives he enriched, and the indelible mark he made on the world. His spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us to live each day with passion and kindness. Rest in peace, dear Paul, your journey was a beautiful one.
