Obituary of Paul Schneider

Paul Schneider, 90, of Howell passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Newark, raised in Jersey City, and settled in Howell in 1962. Paul is a graduate of the Dickenson High School class of 1954 and attended Long Island University of Pharmacy (LIU), leading to his successful career as a Registered Pharmacist. He bravely served in the United States Army and was a member of the US Army National Guard. Paul belonged to the Monmouth County Human Relations Commission and was President of the Monmouth County Board of Health. He took great pride in the fact that he established the Shade Tree Commission in Howell. Paul was an Environmental commissioner and Chairman of the Howell Township Planning Board. He was Howell Township Man of the Year in 2014. Paul was an avid cyclist and was the NJ Representative League of American Wheel Men. He retired as the Director of Pharmacy Operations of Food Circus Supermarkets of Middletown, NJ. Paul was a dedicated 32-degree free mason member for 62 years at Olive Branch 16 in Freehold, Ocean Masonic Lodge 89 in Spring Lake Heights, and member of the Lions Club in Farmingdale. Also a member of the Navy League of the United States, he was very patriotic.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Frieda Schneider; children, Lynn and her husband, Mike, Evan and his wife, Tina, and Jill and her partner, Joanne; grandchildren, Martin and his wife, Heather, Sean and his wife, Ruthie, Samuel and his wife, Joanie, Gavin, and Jared; great grandchildren, Saoirse, Oliver, Lailah, Levi, Abraham, Faith, and Theodore.
